IMMPRENEUR is a website created for immigrant entrepreneurs, or ‘Immpreneurs.’ Our aim is to provide content that inspires and helps Immpreneurs to launch (or grow existing) businesses in the United States. What you’ll find on the site: On the Success Stories channel you’ll discover stories of people who’ve come to this country, often with little savings, and built thriving businesses and successful lives in the U.S. They’ll show you firsthand how to use your “foreignness” as an advantage, how to start a business, how to raise financing, how to sell and market your product or service, and how to navigate American business culture. For many immigrants, franchising is the first step toward business ownership in the U.S. That’s why we’ve created a Franchising channel. We’ll show you where the opportunities are, what qualities franchise companies are seeking in franchisees, the pitfalls to avoid, and what it really takes to build a successful franchise business. Our Resources and Tools channel will enable you to network with other immpreneurs from your home country, get business advice and funding, and determine the best places in America to run your business. These organizations offer great advice, and many offer their services at no cost. We hope you find this site helpful in your efforts to build your own American Dream. Thank you for visiting. – Foulis Peacock
About Foulis Peacock
A veteran immpreneur himself, Foulis Peacock is uniquely qualified to produce this site. Foulis worked on Fleet Street in London before immigrating to this country 20 years ago. Upon arriving in New York City, he used his own “foreign advantage” to become a contractor with Fortune magazine. In 1994 Foulis started a media representative company with a business partner. Their clients included Fortune, Money, and Forbes magazines. Foulis and his partner then launched DiversityInc Media LLC in 1998. In 2009 Foulis sold his interest in DiversityInc to produce IMMPRENEUR.com.
